Slinger started their match strong, with Jordan DeLaurier scoring early in the second minute of play. The Owls lost momentum towards the middle of the first half and conceded a goal in the 24th minute. The game was back and forth for the remainder of the first half with neither team having a good look at the goal. Kevin Remmick scored another Slinger goal in the first minutes of the second half. Throughout the rest of the game, the Owls played solid defense. With two seconds left in the game, goalkeeper Zach Scherbert committed a foul in the box but then saved the Watertown penalty kick, helping Slinger keep their 2-1 lead. Come out to support the Owls at their next game against Arrowhead this Friday!
